California is absolutely beautiful.  We have beaches, mountains, deserts, lakes, rivers, and streams- all home to amazing flora and fauna that give birth to inspiration.  
 
My husband, kids (puppies), and I started off the year right- we drove out the the desert, in the middle of nowhere, and camped out for a few days.  We had a blast exploring the canyons around us and found some absolutely incredible agates, quartz plates, jasper, common opal, and rhombohedral calcite.
 
I did not do anything to this quartz plate besides cleaning it gently with a bit of dish soap and warm water; this is exactly how we found it and it is beautiful, naturally.  
 

Statement ring is a size 7.5 and measures 28mm x 25mm and comes out 10mm from your finger
