Since as long as I can remember, I have always been completely intrigued by the ocean, all of the plants and animals within it, and how they all work together in incredible symbiotic relationships.  The beautiful coast of California is filled with unique flora and fauna making this particular intertidal zone incredibly special and a vital part of the health of our overall environment.  
 
I created this mussel shell statement necklace as a reminder of how special our coast is and the need to take care of it to keep it healthy and thriving.
 
All of the silver work in this necklace is completely handmade by myself; no part of it is cast and it is all 100% one-of-a-kind.  I hand fabricated this mussel shell and the surrounding barnacles and tunicates out of sterling silver.  This piece features a gorgeous little agate that I found on the beach in Malibu, CA and took home, cut, and polished.

The mussel shell measures 31mm long (44mm from the top of the bail) x 16mm wide and includes your choice of a 16", 18", or 20" sterling siver rolo chain
