The beauty of California can shine in so many ways; that's what makes this place so incredibly special. I feel that in this new line, I have created pieces that truly let the personality of California shine in a unique way.
I collected several lupine flowers while hiking in the hills of Ventura County and placed them within the pages of a great book, Nature's Best Hope written by Dr. Douglas Tallamy, which outlines the importance of native plants. I pressed the flowers until they were dried and perfect. I then collected several agates along the Malibu coast, brought them home, and cut them into slices. I used lapidary grade epoxy to sandwich the flowers between the agates and let them cure. I then cabbed each of these into different shapes; ready to become gorgeous jewelry representations of the beauty of California.
Another important species that, thankfully, I've been seeing more often recently is the Acmon Blue Butterfly. The catepillar of the Acmon Blue feeds on Lupine leaves making them a perfect pair. I created an Acmon Blue Butterfly out of sterling silver to adorn the gorgeous pendant and make it a truly unique California piece that any nature lover would be proud and excited to wear.
Every single part of this piece was hand created by myself in the beautiful state of California.

Sterling silver is fine to wear in water, HOWEVER, it will rapidly tarnish if worn in saltwater or a swimming pool
To regularly clean stone and silver, gently scrub with a soft toothbrush, warm water, and dish soap
To remove natural tarnish, if you please, purchase a Sunshine Cloth or Propolish pads to gently rub away excess tarnish. These can be purchased from various online retailers such as Amazon or Rio Grande.
