While camping out in a very remote area of Mojave Desert (where I found this agate actually!), each evening, and into the night, we would be greeted by the coolest and cutest kangaroo rats out hunting for their dinner while responding cautiously to every little noise they heard.  Their adorable yet fierce nature inspired me to create this necklace.
 
I found this gorgeous agate while hiking through the landscapes of Mojave Desert, Caifornia, cut it, hand polished it, and found it perfect to pair with this kangaroo rat in this statement necklace.
 
I hand sawed this kangaroo rat out of sterling silver from a photo and hand engraved it to add detail to this beautiful scene.
