Since as long as I can remember, I have always been completely intrigued by the ocean, all of the plants and animals within it, and how they all work together in incredible symbiotic relationships. The beautiful coast of California is filled with unique flora & fauna making this particular intertidal zone incredibly special and a vital part of the health of our overall environment.
I created this statement cuff bracelet as a reminder of how special our coast is and the need to take care of it to keep it healthy and thriving.
I found this fossil whalebone on the beach on the Santa Barbara coast of California and this agate on the beach in Malibu, CA. I used a process known as intarsia to fuse them together in harmony into this one cab. I cut them each, used a special lapidary epoxy to adhere them to each other, and then I cabbed it into this beautiful piece. I took inspiration from the beautiful California coast to hand silversmith it into this one-of-a-kind sterling silver statement cuff bracelet. I handmade kelp (one of the most important parts of the California coast) for this super cool piece out of sterling silver to make this incredibly unique. No part of this piece is cast; it is completely handmade (by me) and 100% one-of-a-kind.
This sterling silver statement cuff bracelet measures 41mm x 33mm (the kelp focal area) and is completely adjustable and one size fits all

Sterling silver is fine to wear in water, HOWEVER, it will rapidly tarnish if worn in saltwater or a swimming pool
To regularly clean stone and silver, gently scrub with a soft toothbrush, warm water, and dish soap
To remove natural tarnish, if you please, purchase a Sunshine Cloth or Propolish pads to gently rub away excess tarnish. These can be purchased from various online retailers such as Amazon or Rio Grande.
