Since as long as I can remember, I have always been completely intrigued by the ocean, all of the plants and animals within it, and how they all work together in incredible symbiotic relationships. The beautiful coast of California is filled with unique fauna making this particular intertidal zone incredibly special and a vital part of the health of our overall environment.
I created this necklace as a reminder of how special our coast is and the need to take care of it to keep it healthy and thriving.
I found this beautiful agate on the beach in Malibu, California and I found this perfect peice of nephrite blue jade on the central California coast. I cut each of them, hand polished them, and took inspiration from the beautiful California coast to hand silversmith them into this one-of-a-kind sterling silver necklace. I hand carved each barnacle and tunicate (sea squirt) out of silver to make this necklace incredibly unique.
This sterling silver necklace measures 32mm long x 20mm wide.
Sterling Silver rolo chain is included
